When it comes to wintertime fundraising, most people think about the infamous “polar bear plunge” whereby people gather donations and in return plunge into freezing cold water. It’s sort of a time-honored tradition and it is one that the personal injury law firm of Kisling Nestico & Redick takes very seriously.
They will be doing the plunge again on February 19, 2019, after having a very successful excursion last year. Last year they raised just over $26,000 and they hope to match or exceed that amount this year. They have done it for 16 straight years and managing partner Nestico has been quoted as saying it is a highlight of their year.
The Polar Plunge is just one facet of their dedication to seeing that local children are able to grow to their fullest potential. There is an astounding amount of food insecurity in the area and Kisling Nestico & Redick hope to stomp it out as best as they can through their charitable deeds. Considering that it takes merely $1 to provide 4 nutritious meals to children in need, Kisling Nestico & Redick have raised enough to provide meals for over 150,000 children. This is something the children truly need and certainly appreciate.
Kisling Nestico & Redick are just one facet of the charitable organization. All told, the Polar Plunge has consistently raised over $150,000 annually to buy food, shelters, and money to donate to food banks. Kisling Nestico & Redick has raised over $100,000 themselves throughout the years, something they are very proud of.
As you can see, there is much to be said about the charitable nature of Kisling Nestico & Redick. While they may not advertise it much by themselves, local citizens have certainly sat up and taken notice. As well as they should.
